Professor Jennifer Symonds, Director of CLOSER, Robin Flaig, Co-Director of the UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration and Chief Operations Officer for Generation Scotland, and Dr. Nigel de Noronha, Research Associate at the University of Manchester join our panel to discuss their personal data journeys and much, much more. Jennifer Symonds 00:36 Producing data, producing data that's actually gone on to impact policy and change the education system in Ireland, I mean, that's an incredibly privileged position to be in as an individual, to have a role in these kinds of things. So it's been very satisfying, very rewarding. Robin Flaig 00:50 You know, I can hear, I can hear a news report, and I can say that's UK Biobank data and I will have assisted in that research, even though it's completely unbeknownst to them. And that's, that's quite satisfying. And it's similar with Generation Scotland. Nigel de Noronha 01:04 I would say my biggest contribution probably being enable, enabling other people to articulate or research or find out things and that's partly been through teaching, partly been through building relationships. Probably the biggest contribution people will look back at before is I helped to educate some of those people who are making a difference now. Jennie Blows 01:25 This year's Love Data Week will run from the 12th to the 16th of February 2024. Tune in then for the full story.
